Using Your Oracle Health Records With ChatGPT or Claude

You have three routes: ask the AI inside your hospital's own Oracle Health portal, upload files you downloaded yourself to an assistant, or connect a summary of your results to your own assistant. This page covers what each route means for where your records go. It is general information from Oracle's and HHS's own pages, not advice about your situation.

Route 1: The AI inside the Oracle Health portal

  • What Oracle says it offers. Oracle announced on August 12, 2026 that its AI-powered Oracle Health Patient Portal is generally available in the U.S. Oracle says you can ask questions about your health information and see trends in labs and vitals over time.
  • Where your records stay. Oracle says the AI is grounded in your health record, that no personal medical data is stored outside the Oracle system or in third-party models, and that the AI does not give diagnoses, medical advice or treatment recommendations.
  • The limit. It only sees what that one health system has. If you see doctors at more than one health system, each portal knows only its own part.

Route 2: Upload your files to ChatGPT or Claude

  1. Download your results first (how to download lab results from Oracle Health).
  2. Read the assistant's current privacy terms before you upload. Its features and terms change often.
  3. Share only what you need for the question you have.

What leaves your hands: the files now sit with that company, outside your health system. HHS says a provider generally cannot refuse to send your records to an app you chose, and that the HIPAA Rules do not restrict how that app uses them.

Route 3: Connect a summary to your own assistant

  1. Bring your records into Phi Longevity PRISM at philongevity.com: connect your Oracle Health or MyChart account, or upload the files you downloaded.
  2. Sign in and open Connect Claude or ChatGPT. Add Phi Longevity PRISM to your own Claude or ChatGPT and choose what to allow on the permission page.
  3. Ask your assistant to read your Care Team Brief, for example before a visit.

What the assistant gets: a read-only summary of which results are high, low or normal, how they are changing, and what to ask your doctor. Exact lab numbers only if you tick that box. Never your name, birth date, address, email, uploaded files, doctor's notes or payment details. You can end the connection any time on your Connected AI assistants page. For the MyChart version of this page, see using your MyChart records with ChatGPT or Claude.

A short checklist before you share

  • Read the privacy terms for the assistant and for any connection partner.
  • Share only what you need for the question you have.
  • Find the setting that disconnects access, and the one that deletes what you shared.
  • Treat answers as a way to prepare questions for your doctor.

What to do with the files

Download your results first, then decide where they go. If you choose Phi Longevity PRISM, it builds a one-page Care Team Brief with each result, its date, how it has changed over time and the guideline behind each flag, using the range printed on your own lab report. This is how we handle your records:

Phi Longevity is not a healthcare provider or a "covered entity" under HIPAA for your personal account. We store your records in HIPAA-eligible systems under a signed business associate agreement with Google Cloud, and we protect them to that standard. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.

What Phi Longevity PRISM does not do

It does not diagnose, and it does not replace your doctor. It reads lab results today; medicines, diagnoses and allergies are not imported yet. It does not send your records to an assistant unless you set up the connection yourself, and it does not tell you whether to use those assistants.

Frequently asked questions

Does the Oracle Health Patient Portal have its own AI?

Oracle announced on August 12, 2026 that its AI-powered Oracle Health Patient Portal is generally available in the U.S. Oracle says patients can ask questions inside the portal, that the AI does not give diagnoses, medical advice or treatment recommendations, and that no personal medical data is stored outside the Oracle system or in third-party models. Whether your hospital has switched to the new portal is up to your hospital.

Can ChatGPT or Claude read my Oracle Health records through Phi Longevity PRISM?

Only a summary, and only if you set it up. A Phi Longevity PRISM account owner can add a connection to their own Claude or ChatGPT, sign in, and choose what to allow. The assistant can then read the owner's Care Team Brief summary. Exact lab numbers are included only if the owner ticks that box. It is read-only, it never includes your name, birth date, address, email, uploaded files or doctor's notes, and you can end it at any time.

Is sharing my records with an AI assistant covered by HIPAA?

We cannot say for any given service, so read its own terms. HHS says the HIPAA Rules do not restrict how an app uses information you directed to it, and do not apply to entities that are not covered entities or business associates.

Can an AI assistant replace my doctor's read of my labs?

No. MedlinePlus says that even if you can review results in your electronic health record, it is still important to talk with your provider to find out what your results mean for you.
